Barclaycard Arena in the BBC R1 Live Lounge

Bieber, Biffy and now Bastille take to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this September - we relive Justin's live LA performance and The Biff's rendition of Christine and the Queens, before looking ahead to Dan and the boy's turn next week!

Things don't get much bigger than Justin Bieber taking over the BBC R1 Live Lounge...and that's exactly what happened in LA just last week. JB kicked off Live Lounge Month and treated us to a 5-song special, proving his versatility, talent and all round swag (swag, swag, swag).

Biebz gave us acoustic, stripped back versions of the current UK No.1 Cold Water, as well as Love Yourself, What Do You Mean, Let Me Love You and two mystery covers...Tracy Chapman's 'Fast Car' and, wait for it, 2Pac's 'Thugz Mansion'!

Here's just a taste of Bieber's session, but you can watch the full thing over on YouTube OR the BBC R1 website!

It's not long now until JB takes over our arena! Who's joining us this October? Drop us a tweet using #BieberBham!

A few days later it was time Biffy Clyro...'mon The Biff! The rockers took over Clara Amfo's studio as part of Live Lounge Month last Friday and it was nothing short of spectacular.

Fresh off the back of their headline slot at reading and Leeds Festival, the Scottish super-heroes performed their latest single ‘Howl’, their big sing-along tune ‘Biblical’ and an amazing cover Christine and the Queens’ ‘Tilted’. If you’ve never heard a guy with a thick Scottish accent sing in French, the you’ve gotta check this out…

Simon, James and Ben head to our arena this December – kick start your Christmas in the best possible way, get your Biffy Clyro tickets now!

Finally, stick Wednesday 14th September in yo’ diaries (does anyone still use a diary) because Bastille will be in the Live Lounge and if previous encounters are anything to go by then this is going to be something special!

Dan and the boys are no strangers to BBC R1, previously putting their spin on tracks by Bruno Mars, The XX, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Pulp and probably most famously Miley Cyrus! The lads cover of ‘We Can’t Stop’ has racked up a staggering 17.9 MILLION views on YouTube and it’s easy to see why…

We cannot wait to see what the guys are gonna perform this time round…maybe a mash-up of Drake’s ‘One Dance’ with a hint of Back Street Boys…we can only dream!

If you love seeing Bastille in the Live Lounge, then you’ll probably love seeing them live on tour too – get your tickets for their November show here!
