In an interview with Birmingham Mail, former Doctor Who Peter Davison declared he hopes to “scare the living daylights out of you” during this year’s Symphonic Spectacular.

Peter won’t be on his own, he’ll be joined on stage by a full orchestra and choir as well as a few Daleks and Cybermen right here at the Barclaycard Arena!

Peter said: “Doctor Who fans are an extraordinary, wonderful bunch, who are very passionate about the series. The Symphonic Spectacular has already proved to be a monster hit Down Under and the UK’s first ever tour promises to be even bigger.”

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect from the show…

  • Fantastic live music taken from Doctor Who
  • BBC National Orchestra of Wales
  • BBC National Choir of Wales
  • Over 100 performers
  • Fans favourites including Daleks and Cybermen
  • The best Doctor Who moments
  • Specially edited, exclusive videos

Whilst speaking with Birmingham Mail, Peter Davison had this to say about what made him get involved with the show: “I’ve always been particularly fond of Cybermen. I know most people say Daleks, but I think Cybermen looked like they could pursue you and catch you.

“I was never quite convinced that Daleks could. Of course in my day they couldn’t even get up stairs, while Cybermen were much more threatening.”
