Nicki's Top 5!

With over 14 Top 10 UK singles and millions of albums sold all over the world, whittling her hits down to just our fave five was almost impossible. Take a look at which tracks made the cut and those that just missed out!

The Queen of Rap returns to Birmingham in just a few months’ time after teaming up with Juice Wrld for The Ncki Wrld Tour, so what better way to get ready for her arrival than to celebrate her ridiculous back catalogue! Now, we’ve had to leave out some absolute classics (don’t hate), but in fairness we have packed our Top 5 full of iconic Nicki jams.

Nicki Minaj V2

SUPER BASS (2010)

This track was Nicki’s first big splash in the industry and after going 8x Platinum, there’s no denying that it was a huge success! She’d be building her way up with features with Sean Garrett, Will.I.Am and Drake before releasing this back in 2010 and with the big beats, ground-breaking video and Nicki’s talent (obviously) Super Bass remains a classic. Looking for a throwback party starter? You’ve found it.

BANG BANG with Jessie J & Ariana Grande (2014)

Name a more iconic triple threat than these three ladies….we’ll wait. Anything which features Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Jessie J is going to a hit – and Bang Bang certainly was. Both Jessie and Ariana open the track with some sweet vocals, before Nicki smashes out of the park at the end with another fierce rap!

ANACONDA (2014)

Sampling the classic Sir Mix-a-Lot track, Anaconda was Nicki’s follow up release after Bang Bang…and it certainly made a bang when it hit the airwaves. The song featured in the Top 10 in USA, UK Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand and now features in our Top 5!

MOMENT 4 LIFE with Drake (2011)

Nicki and Drake go way back and have worked together since their Young Money days. This however, for us, is the standout collaboration. Featured on the Pink Friday EP, the hit is a perfect blend of rap and singing…plus it’s got the Drizzy effect. One word to describe this…timeless.

MONSTER with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Rick Ross & Bon Iver (2010)

Technically not a Nicki Minaj song, it’s a Kanye West song…but Nicki beasts everyone on this track including Yeezy and Jay-Z! How could this not feature in the Top 5? Nicki’s verse is absolute FIRE!

Head to Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or YouTube if you fancy listening to any of the above….OR….come see the Queen herself this March – it’s going to be something else!
