The Most Feared Panto Chasers!

There’s no denying that the ‘Chasers’ that you guys love (and sometimes hate) from Bradley Walsh’s The Chase would actually make for the BEST pantomime villains. Here’s who would play who...

This December, Bradley Walsh, Martin Kemp and a cast of over 100 set sail for Arena Birmingham as Peter Pan - Christmas In Neverland takes over! With the most amazing special effects, high-flying trapeze artists, a 10,000-gallon water-wall and the scariest animatronic croc you’ll ever see, this show is the perfect action packed Christmas adventure for everyone!

You can book your Peter Pan tickets now!

Now, seems as the star of The Chase, Mr Bradley Walsh, features in the ultimate arena adventure this December, we started thinking all about the Chasers (you know, the big scary people who often destroy the dreams of the hopeful contestants) and who they would play if they were pantomime villains!

MARK LABBETT...THE GIANT FROM JACK AND THE BEANSTALK!

This was the possibly the easiest casting, it's a tailor-made fit. Mark Labbett is roughly about 12 ft 9 inches (or something like that) and is easily one of the scariest Chasers on the show. He loves feeding off the downfall of the contestants, just like the Giant likes feeding on the blood of English men. Mark, if we ever bring Jack and the Beanstalk to our arena, expect a call mate.

ANNE HEGERTY...THE QUEEN FROM SNOW WHITE

She's the Queen of The Chase, the Queen of TV game-shows and now, the Queen of our fantasy pantomime line-up. She's blunt, she's intelligent and she's oh so scary, which is pretty much the criteria needed to play the wicked Queen from Snow White. Imagine how good Anne would be in this role?!

PAUL SINHA...THE BIG BAD WOLF FROM LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

The Sinha-Man is no push over just like his pantomime counterpart and would make for pretty much the perfect big bad wolf! Much like his scary, hairy villain, he tends to lure contestants in, usually with a few silly mistakes on the final chase, but ultimately ends up polishing off whoever stands in his way - come to think of it, he's actually got a lot in common with Mr Wolf.

JENNY RYAN...MALEFICENT FROM SLEEPING BEAUTY

Jenny is the newest Chaser to join the show, but my oh my she's tough to beat. She takes no nonsense of whoever stands in front of her and defeats almost every team that try to take her down. Much like Maleficent, Jenny is feared, icy and extremely majestic when tearing into opponents!

All this talk of pantomime villains is getting us super excited for the arrival of Peter Pan. I wonder if any of these Chasers could give Martin Kemp a run for his money? In a pub quiz, maybe, but on stage as a bad guy...maybe not.
