They don’t come more energetic (or sweaty) than Lee Evans, and it’s why we love him.

The comedian who turned 50 earlier this year, I swear he doesn’t age…lived up to expectation with a typically hyperactive performance in Birmingham on a warm Thursday evening, which if nothing else added to his rate of perspiration as he delivered another signature show with no sign of slowing down.

His perfectly executed impressions doused with a regional ‘Brummy’ accent saw Evans connect with the Midland crowd from the off, with his enthusiasm and unique ability to turn the dullest topic into a piece of comedic genius, from trying to remember passwords to the sound of a siren, Lee had the audience in almost constant laughter partitioned with applause. Even the jokes that didn’t go down well, Lee still made funny with his unique little giggle and off the cuff responses.

One little criticism, and I mean little, is that although funny throughout the ‘side-splitters’ were not so abundant amongst what was quite a long show although this did not detract from his theatrical and lively performance. Lee has the ability to relate to everyone, from the old to the young, in any stretch of life, which reflect his diverse and loyal audiences who added to the atmosphere unto the end.

Overall the comedy king definitely did not disappoint, he is undoubtedly one of the best and it was an awesome experience to finally witness first hand.
