The best of the NME Awards head to Birmingham

The prestigious NME Awards takes place on Wednesday 12th February and its absolutely dominated by acts that are heading to Arena Birmingham over the next year!

BILLIE EILISH
Best Album in the World / Best Song in the World – Bad Guy / Best Solo Act in the World

The last 12-months have been dominated by Billie Eilish and it's reflected in this year's NME Awards with the teenager being nominated for some of the biggest awards on offer. We're predicting she'll almost definitely take home one gong (as a minimum) but we wouldn't be surprised to see a clean sweep! 

When does Billie arrive in Birmingham? Friday 24 July 2020...although tickets have all sold out!

Best Album in the World / Best British Album / Best Live Act

Yannis and the boys have established themselves as one of the best bands to watch, not just in the UK, but across the world with the boys raking in the crowds at all their festival appearances. They'll be with us in Birmingham soon in support of their two-part EP, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, and we already know it's going to be one of THE shows of the year!

Best Film Actor - Taron Egerton – Elton John / Best Music Film – Rocketman / Best Music Book - Me

You know you've made it when you're a musician and you're up for awards in the film and book categories - but that's the type of artist Elton John is! Taron Egerton, who plays Elton is up for Best Film Actor and Rocketman is up for Best Music Film. His Me book is actually an incredible read - and even if it doesn't win the NME Award - we couldn't recommend it any more. It's SO good!

When's Elton arriving? Monday 9th November at Arena Birmingham (soon to be Utilita Arena Birmingham) and Wednesday 11th November at Resorts World Arena!
